our journey, but other states have been doing this for years. Learn how
this wonderful program can help you and give you the freedom to make
decisions for yourself and your healthcare. By looking at another state
we can see the long-term benefits and drawbacks of such a program. This
comprehensive view of Michigan’s new program should be on everyone’s To

Nature & Gardening (Sub-Series
#4)
- Indoor
Gardening -
We all like to have companionship, but sometimes it cannot be in the form
of a person. If pets are out of the subject, then think green! Learn how
easy it is to care for a plant and how much benefit a plant can bring to
your life. The whole process will be covered from watering, feeding and
transplanting to caring for an ailing plant. This lighthearted and
important program is one that surly no one will want to miss.
- Outdoor
Gardening - Whether
you have a patio or an entire yard, gardening runs through the fabric of
most of our beings. Studies have shown that gardening, even for 20
minutes, brings many benefits both physically and mentally. During this
program the attendants will be given the basics on container planting for
the patio and yard and also some tips on gardening and what plants are
best and easiest. Edible plants are some of the best things to grow.
Knowing where the food came from and having a hand in its success makes
the food you make tastier. Better appetite equals more healthy bodies.
- Indoor
Composting -
With all of the talk about people living “green,” this presentation is a
way for everybody to join in on the fun. Worm composting is a way that
you can compost food scraps, newspapers and some plant matter into a
nutrient rich hummus for your plants. This lighthearted, very fun and
funny presentation covers the very real issues of garbage and how we all
can help out and do our part in reducing waste.
